Meals at the Villa
The villa has an excellent chef. He works under the supervision of the villa manager who is also outstanding in the kitchen. Our food can best be described as “Dominican American Comfort Food” not too fancy, casually served, fresh and locally grown/raised.
Three full meals are served daily. You pick the times. Breakfast is a full American breakfast with eggs, meats, potatoes, lots of locally grown fresh fruit, breads, and cereals. The highlight is always juice, fresh squeezed from locally grown fruits. The DR is well known for its coffee.
Lunch is more than sandwiches. Popular entrees include handmade cheeseburgers, fish tacos, pastas, and more. Lunch is usually accompanied by a salad. Ask for Asopao, a Dominican specialty and the owner’s favorite.
Dinner is a more elaborate affair, but still casual. There are usually two starches (one always rice) two vegetables, and two main courses. The vegetables are locally grown. Main course include Dominican beef, smoked pork ribs, pork in other forms, lots of great chicken dishes, fresh fish (caught that day) in served at almost every dinner. Caribbean lobster night is always a hit.
Meals are planned in consultation with the manager, both in advance of your arrival, and on a daily basis.
Dessert is oftentimes house made. We accommodate most diets and food allergies. Vegetarians are most welcome. We have both indoor and outdoor seating for groups large and small.
Finicky kids can be accommodated. Think Mac and Cheese, hot dogs, pizza, etc.
